Buyers are free forever. We make money from vendors who pay for anonymized, aggregated intent data — never your personal information. We don't sell individual behavior, and we don't share identifying data with vendors.
1. What we collect
Account data: Email (required for magic-link auth), full name (optional), and onboarding responses (role, company size, industry).
Platform activity: Tools you view, compare, save, or review. AI Advisor queries. Pricing benchmarks you submit. This data powers the AI recommendations and competitive-intelligence product.
Technical data: Session IDs, user-agent strings, referrer URLs, and approximate geographic region (from IP — we don't store IPs).
What we don't collect: Payment info (handled by Stripe), content you type that isn't submitted, cross-site tracking beacons, or anything from third-party trackers (we don't use any).
2. How we use it
- To run the AI Advisor personalization.
- To show you relevant tools and benchmarks.
- To send transactional emails (magic links, vendor claim notifications).
- To build anonymized, aggregated reports for vendor customers — e.g., “X companies with 50-500 people viewed this tool this month.” Never your individual data.
3. Who we share data with
Our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database + auth), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI Advisor via Claude API), Resend (transactional email), Stripe (payments for vendors). Each is SOC 2 compliant.
We never sell your data to third parties. Vendors on our platform see aggregated patterns, not individual users.
4. Your rights
You can: access all your data, export it, delete your account and all associated data, opt out of analytics tracking at any time.

5. Cookies
We use two categories only: authentication cookies (so you stay signed in) and session IDs (for analytics). No advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Children
StackMatch is a B2B product. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
7. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll email registered users at least 30 days before it takes effect.
